This was well thought out and really a good mystery. The story unfolds little by little, making you want more. It has murder, powerful people who believe they can do anything they want, greed, revenge and self preservation. The characters are all interesting with their own set of secrets each, that Baxter and Holt have to pick through layer after layer to find the killer. There are several twists that keep you guessing. There are no misspelled words or grammer mistakes , or filler pages , which makes this a pleasure to read. I sincerely hope we see more of Baxter and Holt in the future. Another well thought out and well written story by Leslie Wolfe.

Casino Girl A Gripping Las Vegas Thriller edition by Leslie Wolfe Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

Satisfying murder mystery with continuous twists and turns. My kind of book. A really good sequel to Las Vegas Girl. Best to read it first for more info on the relationship between Baxter and Holt. Good editing, which is greatly appreciated. No fillers, long paragraphs. I read it in one day. Looking forward to the next sequel. Love this duo!
This story will take your breathe away! Leslie Wolfe has become one of my Must Read authors. Detectives Laura Baxter and Jack Holt catch the death of an 18 year old exotic dancer in a high rollers room in a Law Vegas casino. The main plot involves how this young lady died but there are subplots that just as interesting. The suspects keep increasing in number as the detectives investigate the crime. I would highly recommend this book if you like thrillers.
Casino Girl is a great addition to the ongoing adventures of Laura Baxter and Jack Holt – and it can be read and enjoyed even if you missed the first novel (Las Vegas Girl) in what I hope will be a series of good books for shortening long airplane trips, enjoying relaxing time away from work, and diving into yet another entertaining and satisfying story.

Wolfe once again sets a fast pace with interesting complications and challenges for her main characters to overcome – with quality writing effectively blending intellect with action.

This is a novel for readers who enjoy both strong female characters and strong male characters. Laura and Jack meet all the requirements that action-thriller-mystery readers expect. They have interesting back-stories, and are more complicated (and therefore, real) than the characters in some in highly-rated novels I’ve read that turned out to be not nearly as interesting as this one. On top of great dialog and well-presented inner thoughts, this book also has a very interesting murderer (among many logical suspects) and a very interesting murder weapon. Wolfe has clearly done her homework on this one.

And, to top it all off, the role played by strawberries and whipped cream adds yet another reason to read Casino Girl, but I'm not going to say more about that for now. . .
Bestselling author Leslie Wolfe weaves another great mystery, thriller and suspense, with intriguing twists and turns that will easily captivate the reader’s attention from the beginning. The author paints a gripping and mesmerizing detective story in a very vivid and convincing way. In addition, the characters are drawn with great credibility and conviction. It’s a fast-paced novel that will keep you engaged from the first page to the last.

The book description gives a sneak preview ‘Detectives Laura Baxter and Jack Holt are members of the elite Las Vegas Metro PD, one of the toughest and most respected law enforcement agencies in the United States. In the middle of a city with two million residents and 43 million annual visitors, they’re hunting for a killer.

When a beautiful, young girl is killed in the high-roller pleasure pit of the exclusive Scala Casino, the news reverberates for hours among the ritzy clientele. Before taking the stage where she found her death, Crystal was last seen boarding an unmarked helicopter for a late-night flight to an unknown destination.

The stakes are high at the roulette table, and the players are hot-blooded. Among them, a stone-cold killer watches, waits, and kills without leaving a single trace of evidence. Rien ne va plus but death.

The name of the game is murder, and it doesn’t stop with Crystal’s demise. Anyone who threatens to expose the killer’s identity will soon find they’re being targeted.

Two mavericks make an intriguing team. Baxter and Holt trust each other with their lives, only not with their darkest secrets…’

Now, if that’s not enough to whet your appetite, I don’t know what will. But if you want to find out what happens, you’ll just have to turn the pages for yourself! However, I will say it’s always well worth reading Leslie Wolfe’s novels as this author never fails to deliver.

Casino Girl had every element a good story should have. An intriguing plot, attention to detail, but best of all fleshed out, well-written and well-rounded character development. There’s an abundance of well-illustrated scenes that make you feel like you are right there in the story, and that’s something I really look for in a good book.

Very appealing and alluring, this work had me immersed from the beginning. The story flowed from scene to scene with ease, and the author shows exceptional ability (as always) when it comes to storytelling. There is plenty of non-stop action in this page turner that will take the reader on a truly gripping and intriguing journey.

I’m a big fan of this author so I’ll be looking forward to reading more from Leslie Wolfe in the future. I would recommend this book and would add that it has a distinctly cinematic feel to it. I see no reason why it couldn’t be adapted for the Silver Screen. Five stars from me.
LVMPD Detectives Laura Baxter and Jack Holt investigate the death of Las Vegas exotic dancer, Crystal Tillman. Crystal died onstage in the high roller room in the ritzy Scala Casino. What would cause a healthy eighteen year-old to drop dead in the middle of her dance routine?

This book has it all murder, mystery and intrigue! Not only is there a great plot, there are several good subplots masterfully woven in. There is no shortage of suspects — everyone from another dancer to billionaires. This thriller moves along at a decent pace from the beginning and will keep your attention until the end. It takes awhile for the medical examiner to identify what killed Crystal and that adds to the suspense. There are twists, turns and surprises to keep the reader guessing. I guessed who the guilty party was almost as soon as that character was introduced, but it did not detract from my reading experience. I enjoyed the book and I am looking forward to the next one in the series.

This is not the first book I have read by Leslie Wolfe and it will not be the last!
