I found myself liking Detective Blue a bit more in this story than the first--maybe I'm just getting used to her. ha There wasn't as much profanity for which I was grateful. In this drama Blue is in another faraway place and still on fire to exonerate her brother from his murder charges. Sibling loyalty is a theme which I appreciate; I like the nobility of it, and can relate to the sentiment. Siblings are special and we know it in our heart. Blue acts tough, as always, but also demonstrates mercy and self-sacrifice. The latter qualities endeared me to her. She was on fire to protect a tiny town whose residents she hadn't even known prior to the beginning of this story. I really liked the counter-terrorism agent she partners with. A bittersweet conclusion and a good read; well worth the time.

Simultaneously Harry worked both cases with different partners. This led to long hours, new people working on, pulling from childhood involvement as they try to solve both murders.

Thus, the reader will hesitate to pause. So, enjoy reading and describe your expected outcome of both cases.
Not too sure about this one. Does Patterson read these books before putting them under his name? I understand him wanting to give new or fairly new authors a helping hand, but gee whiz. I started enjoying the book about half to two-thirds through it, when it all started coming together. Maybe I should have read each paragraph twice before advancing to the next because I was totally lost. Not the best with his name attached that I've read.
Harry aka Harriet Blue . Sent off again to solve a problem elsewhere and away from Sam's case. She and a Red along with the local Sheriff find themselves in a battle for their lives. Bombs, gold and crazy towns people make for a wild ride. A !MUST. Read
From start to finish this book is filled with action and intrigue. A police officer sets out to prove her brother is innocent of multiple murders. Along the way she is temporarily banished to a small rural town where she stumbles across another murderer. Meanwhile back in her home town her partner continues to work tirelessly to prove her brothers innocence, even though he himself is not convinced her brother is innocent.

Another well written book by Patterson that from start to finish pulls the reader in and introduces them to well thought out characters with plenty of depth and a plot with many a twist and turn.
Once you start to read you won’t want to stop until an ending that many won’t see coming.
This had to be Patterson's worst book. It was just terrible! Honestly cannot think of anything I liked
Fifty Fifty is one of the best Patterson books I have read in sometime. She is such a strong woman and even though she has issues she still comes across as compassionate and vulnerable. I am looking forward to the next full installment due out in Jan. 2019. In the mean time I will be reading the book shots. Thank you James Patterson and Candace Fox for this intriguing character. If you are a James Patterson fan please read this book, I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
Fifty Fifty by James Patterson and Candice Fox, what a novel, three hundred seventy pages of revolving mystery. Harriet Blue's brother, Sam, has been arrested for murder. Harriet is a police detective where a series of killings against young women has been going on for a short time. Evidence found points right at him, Sam! Harriet, known as, Harry, believes in Sam's innocents. She is removed from the investigation and sent to a valley away from the investigation and court. She finds herself in a very small village in Australia. There she finds criminal activities that are mind blowing. Killings by home made bombs. Threats to the entire village to be killed off. Sam's ongoing investigator's, keep Harriet informed as to any progress made. The Chief of the village's two man police department, the chief is one of the two, is blown up with one of the home made bombs. Who in the world would do this? The towns people point a finger at a male who lives out of town and is a recluse. Mean while, two of Harriet's friends find clues showing that Sam just may have been framed, but by who and why? Rated PG. Some strong language. No sexual activities. DP. Castro Valley, CA.
